I was in a Goodwill store yesterday. They had a brand new bicycle there. It still had the plastic covering the emblems it was so new. It was a 21 speed with Shimano shifters and aluminum wheels. Apparently it was donated because of some very minor paint blemishes. On sale for only $39.99!
Now for the catch. You knew there had to be one. It is a Schwinn Third Avenue model. Yep, a “Walmart” special. Anyways, I bought figuring I could always sell off the parts for $40. Heck, I’m not proud. I’ll ride a beater. I know some here disdain “big box” bicycles. But what do you think? Was this a deal or not?
