The big box stores here donate their damaged bikes to the Salvation Army, and the Salvation Army brings them to our charity "earn-a-bike" program that provides bikes as transportation for people in our jobs skills programs. 15 hours of work and they can claim a bike. The adult-size bikes go to this program, the children's size bikes we assemble and check over and give back to the Salvation Army, who uses them as birthday and Christmas presents for children in families receiving their services.
