The good, has Paramount+Schwinn on cranks, Schwinn BB, Campy headset, Record rear hub, Brooks seat is a 1964, pedals look like the ones pictures in the 59 catalog and paint looks like it will clean up. As I have plenty of 10 speeds I think I an going to restore this one to a lower speed.
So my first question if it was a five speed would it have been a derailleur or an internal hub 5 speed.
2 what front hub would it have come with large flange Record? 59 catalog pict shows a large flange phone dial.
3 what rims? rear is 27x1 1/4 Weinmann
4 plastic or chrome fenders?
Not really sure about most of your questions. Seems like I ran across this bike during my obsessive research on the 58. Is that crank alloy? If so and stamped Schwinn + Paramount, I never saw that before and it may be worth the price of admission alone, got to be extremely rare I think. More pics?
I would reach out to Bob Freeman as he has several Paramounts and has restored many. He had one similar to this that in the end he was not fond of but I am sure he can help with some of this.
The frame and decals seem odd to me as the lettering is after this style was not being made it seems. We know they would do custom anything so maybe it is that.
Hopefully the $$$ were ok and while a bit of a kludge, it seems to be the real deal one way or another, I like it.
