I definitly need to apply more science to this riding gig. I'm finding out I'm not as bulletproof as I thought.

I've recently returned to drinking 'Powerade'. I tried water but it didn't do it for me I just peed a lot and still felt like $#!+. I used to drink about 500ml / hour during a hard two hr ride. (not nearly enough). Now I have that much (500ml) about an hour before I start, 1 to 1.5ltrs over the two hours of riding, then 500ml to 1ltr in the hour after. I still don't think this is enough! Problem is, like you I find it difficult to drink much more than this.
If I sail in the arvo I probably need to consume at least the same again, i.e., before, during and after the two hour race but again I find it very difficult to actually do this. It seems I'm drinking gallons of fluid and it don't feel right some how and in any event I simply can't remember to drink that often.

As I said earlier I did feel great satdy night but I obviously didn't drink enough sundy, 500ml before, 500ml during and the same after I finished the 40' + 2 lap crit. I consumed about a litre, plus tea etc., during the afternoon but crashed around 2pm.

Maybe that's just too much Powerade at full strength?? FIIK
Oh I forgot; I rode to 'the creek' and back which probably ads another hour of riding but at a pretty casual pace.
