I have a digital Huret speedometer that bolts right to the R fork. Pretty neat gadget, and it still works.
The bike gadgetry of that era was pretty cool. Inventors sure didn't give up on trying to find the next great one.

This is the driver for a 1980's vintage Huret Multito mechanical odometer.
Proper mount would include 3 flat aluminum straps,fitted through the visible slots, and wrapped around spokes.
The belt is a basically an O ring and the head had two pulleys, one for 700c and one for 27" wheels.
Getting to be somewhat rare.
