I'll be visiting family in Willows for a couple weeks and I see on the Thunderhill website that bicycles are allowed after hours with permission. Is this a popular thing? Has anyone else done it, or do it regularly? I'd imagine all that smooth pavement without traffic would be pretty awesome.

Also, how is the road riding around the area in general?

Im visiting from Chicago, and the days available to ride are definitely limited so I'm thinking of bringing my bike for the two weeks.
