People really for some reason think bikes are trash just because they're old. Like...not much has changed in the technology of the bike frame. If the metal is good and the frame is true then it's as good as the day you bought it. For this very reason when I got a storage unit recently I made sure to have extra room for another bike. I've wound up with a few good bikes over the years that way - getting a junker for free and fixing it up, upgrading parts, etc. Though unless I have a specific purpose for each bike, I can't justify having more than a couple - I would rather see that they get a good home rather than storing them, but that is my preference.
