If the fork were drilled to accept a recessed nut, would that give enough slack to mount the Power Cable (or whatever) sandwiched between the rack and the fork? The rack’s mounting bolt would just go right through the Power Cable?
I thought that too, but I'm not sure the resulting angle will give me the desired braking with the wide fenders that I have.
