Based on what evidence? I've had dozens of flats over the years and if they had happened on a high speed descent it could be a problem.

I'm very curious to see some statistics on the rate of tubeless tires failing. I can't tell you how many stories I've heard about tubes blowing off tires but there have been many both on this forum and in personal experience.
