The bike above appears to be coaster brake on the rear only. So, one could fudge a little bit with the wheel being true. But, still it is nice to have a true wheel.

Tension may not have to be even, although perhaps with radial lacing, it might come out awfully close to true if the tension was made even.

Perhaps true for hops. Then set the tension even, with only minor touchup needed after that.
