It is possible to bargain during certain times of the year or if the bike hasn't sold in a long time. But you have to be patient. Otherwise, $2,000 is not a lot to spend for the enjoyment and health the bike will bring to you. I don't have a lot to add to what others have said about pedals. It's just the way it works..
