So to erase all possibility it was my phone or the sensors, I took my wifes phone, downloaded the app and connected it to inride and the wahoo sensor. No luck. Same outcome.

Ill try again with my daughters phone tomorrow as its a different make. My gut is the apps not allowing the sensor data for some reason.
