I've clear coated 3 or 4 dozen bikes so far, and I've found that the most expensive clear is equally as good as the technique and skill of the applier. I'll be perfectly honest and say that my results have been as good with Krylon as it has been with Eastwood 2K. I have not tried Spray.Bike yet, but I'm slightly dubious regarding its superiority. YMMV, of course.
If I clear over original patina, pin-striping and decals, I don't want it to look too glossy or too perfect. I actually go for a little orange peel and some thickness here and thinness there - no runs though. Can't have runs!
