Bikes: Mostly 1st-generation, top-of-the-line, non-unicrown MTBs/ATBs: All 1984 models: Dawes Ranger, Peugeot Canyon Express, Ross Mt. Whitney (chrome), Schwinn High Sierra, and a 1983 Trek 850.
I didn't find much difference between this 1954 Robin Hood and the the top of the range New Model Sports Raleigh of the same era. Brookes saddles, No Weight Mudguards, AW hubs, Dynohubs and lights seem to me to be the only difference.....and they were all an option BITD. The steel was the same chromium rich quality

I've clear coated 3 or 4 dozen bikes so far, and I've found that the most expensive clear is equally as good as the technique and skill of the applier. I'll be perfectly honest and say that my results have been as good with Krylon as it has been with Eastwood 2K. I have not tried Spray.Bike yet, but I'm slightly dubious regarding its superiority. YMMV, of course.

I've clear coated 3 or 4 dozen bikes so far, and I've found that the most expensive clear is equally as good as the technique and skill of the applier. I'll be perfectly honest and say that my results have been as good with Krylon as it has been with Eastwood 2K. I have not tried Spray.Bike yet, but I'm slightly dubious regarding its superiority. YMMV, of course.
