Close. Not a philosopher, pseudo- or otherwise, but the playwright Friedrich Schiller, in his 1802 play Maid Of Orleans, and not "ignorance" but "stupidity":

Folly, thou conquerest, and I must yield!
Against stupidity the very gods
Themselves contend in vain.
