The Mountain Lion is more similar to the house cat, than to Tigers and Lions. So, it is quite believable that a strong human with only bare hands can defeat a ML in a one-on-one. But typical ML weighs like 100 pounds...so it's not going to be easy...the human probably going to need some luck...and if the ML is good hunter...a human would have little chance.
I doubt an average person could have pulled it off. Most people nowadays are weak from doing no manual work all their lives.
Fine. Still, I have no desire to mix it up with a raccoon, and a real big un only goes about 40 - 45 pounds.
