At least for the vast majority of production time, both NR and SR campy brakes had steel pad holders. Only the levers were different. However, there were a few oddball changes in the last year or two of SR/NR, and it wouldn't surprise me if SR used aluminum holders during that transitional time. That's when they changed the locknuts and sthe script on the arms. One more thing wouldn't be a surprise. I've just never seen them - or more likely don't remember.
