That bike looks amazing and I am glad you made good use of the Chorus groupset, sorry to hear that the spring gave up on you . I had a similar problem with my 6401 RD the B spring was shot and it would not down shift properly , but I ended up purchasing a replacement because my rear derailleur was nicer cosmetically than any replacement I could find .
Love the CIOCC you did a wonderful job on it..

The first gen Chorus group looks good on my Ciocc, an almost made it though the Eroica California (rear mech spring gave up, so i had to limp home the last 20 mile, all up hill or coasting, so I could keep it in a large rear cog). the group set was in very good condition, and looked almost new!
