Right. We don't know how long that sidewalk continues. If it ends, the transition to the street could be difficult at that point. In suburban sprawl I have seen sidewalks simply end at grassy plots with no ramps.

In large cities, people in chairs and scooters are often forced to use the street because motorists park in crosswalks, blocking curb cuts. That also creates a danger for people with strollers. It's gotten so out of hand in my 'hood that the parking authority has ramped up enforcement.
