Carbon ding from chain - problem?

Brand new Diverge that was set up fairly poorly from the bike shop. In my experience, it's better to be conservative with those limit screws during the break-in period. Sure enough, the chain jumped and wedged between the crank and the frame causing this damage. Is this a problem?

I'm guessing of the thousands of carbon bikes rolling out there, that this must happen to dozens of them every single day and that there'd have been much more in the way of protection if this caused frames to compromise. Should I have it checked out? The place I bought it from is a couple hundred miles away. Otherwise I was just going to pick up some epoxy to cover it and place a protective sticker there.
