Yeah, that makes sense. I've had the bike about 5 years, but had a new saddle put on it about a year ago. I'll try it with a torque wrench after I get a new bolt and spacer washer.
Also, I wasn't calling you a monkey, it could have been machine assembled, etc...
Yeah, stuff busts, especially if it's corroded :/
