I find no virtue in clinging to one's original beliefs until death. It takes humility and courage to keep looking at an issue and asking oneself "What if I was wrong? What is the actual truth?" That's the basis of Jan's whole "journey of discovery" blog posts. "What if our assumptions were wrong? What would be better?" It's debatable whether he always lands in the right place
, but this stuff tickles my brain to no end.
