I was diagnosed with two different types of thryoid cancer seven-plus years ago, had my entire thyroid removed, and had radioactive iodine treatment after the surgeries. I'm extremely thankful that I have an excellent thyroid cancer doctor, and I have had no complications or problems since the treatments, and no sign of recurrence. It also seemed extremely easy for my thyroid doctor to find the correct dosage of thyroid hormone to put me on, he did that early in my post-surgical treatiment, and I have felt great since then. I am as active as ever, I have no limitations whatsoever. Have continued to ride, race, and commute on bicycles, once I was healed and stable from the surgeries and radioactive iodine treatment.

I half-jokingly say my thryoid health has never been better since I was diagnosed with cancer and had my thyroid removed. .....FWIW, I'm in my late fifties, I was around fifty when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
