i have hypothyroidism (since birth). i feel a few degrees colder and a few degrees hotter than most people due to it.
but i haven't had any issues like you're referring to. though my disease is minor and i only take 75 mcg daily. and it's definitely hot here.
but i also don't push myself and drink plenty of water.

I had 1/2 of my thyroid removed several years ago and I take medication daily, but I'm happy to say I have not felt any adverse affects while cylicing or otherwise

I was diagnosed with two different types of thryoid cancer seven-plus years ago, had my entire thyroid removed, and had radioactive iodine treatment after the surgeries. I'm extremely thankful that I have an excellent thyroid cancer doctor, and I have had no complications or problems since the treatments, and no sign of recurrence. It also seemed extremely easy for my thyroid doctor to find the correct dosage of thyroid hormone to put me on, he did that early in my post-surgical treatiment, and I have felt great since then. I am as active as ever, I have no limitations whatsoever. Have continued to ride, race, and commute on bicycles, once I was healed and stable from the surgeries and radioactive iodine treatment.

I half-jokingly say my thryoid health has never been better since I was diagnosed with cancer and had my thyroid removed. .....FWIW, I'm in my late fifties, I was around fifty when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

Yes! I am hypothyroid, with varying decrease of treatment success. The current moment is a generally well treated period. Biking to work has been fine, but I definitely feel like I get sweaty really easily with activity, especially in the AM. I am also pretty sensitive to heat, but I live somewhere mild. Can't help you there.

I do bring some water and try to sip some as soon as I get to my destination, or on the way as needed.

On the whole, if my levels are in compliance there are not adverse impacts to my exercising or activity. I am having more issues with some random injuries and hormones.

Graves Disease in my 20's.
Radioactive iodine treatment.
Levothyroxine 200mcg daily for over three decades.
Don't know what it's like to live any other way.
Still manage to average 5-6k miles per year.
Still manage to be overweight.

That's a higher dose than I take. I started out at 175mcg soon after my surgeries to remove my thyroid, then a few months later the doctor reduced the daily dose to 150 mcg. I felt great at both doses, but he monitors my hormone levels and said they were a little high at 175mcg, and I have been at 150mcg for about seven years now, and each time he checks my levels he says everything looks fine at that dose. Interesting to see another person's daily dosage of levo, who has no thyroid at all, like me.; thanks for posting that
