I'm playing carpenter/painter @ home evenings and weekends again. I am attempting to ready the domicile for a spring sale. I need a smaller house and larger garage.
I purchased 5 , 6 pannel doors and 6 pannel closet doors for all the bedrooms, bathroom and linen closet. To save time and money I retrofitted the new doors into the existing jambs.
. I thought it would be easier and cheaper..... until I read the instructions on the primer. I needed to sand all the varnished woodwork back to bare wood. That was 4 days worth of hand sanding. I'm planning on putting the final coat of paint on the doors tonight. Still have to do the closet doors though.
Then the real fun starts....painting rooms.
