I can't imagine. It's hard enough for me to wipe the chain and drip some chain lube once in a while. I have lots of time but don't do much maintenance on my bikes, and they need it.
Might have to do with working on 1000s of cars for 40+ years.
Most people that actually wax cite lower maintenance as one of the benefits. I guess I'll find out soon - wax should be here tomorrow, which means I'd better do some Crock Pot shoppin' today.
