I think your best bet is just to purchase MKS quick release pedals. The dealer you purchased the bike from is probably not going to be of help. Have you contacted Dahon? There are a few bike dealers in the UK that sell MKS pedals. My Dahon eezz came with MKS pedals and they work fine. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and open up your wallet. Best of luck.
