Ah, see-- I don';t worry about paint at all anymore. I've got 32k miles between two bikes (both 2017s) and the bike I just built a few weeks ago already has a few hundred. There's no way to avoid nicks 'n scratches 'n dings on a bike that gets ridden 2-3 times a week. The Cervelo looks great from 5 or 6 feet away (at least to me,) but under close inspection, it kinda looks like a bike with 12 thousand miles on it. Which is what it is.
