hi there thanks for the reply,much appreciated.I think the bearings might be the bigger part of it,having a think about it,as the "rough ground" feeling seems like the wheel is going over roughness every little distance (7 cm?),as in the bumps come quite quickly.But like i was saying i only ride the bike on the footpath and on the road,so i am wondering why the bearings would be going bad as the bike is only about 6 mths old.Were they faulty perhaps or are cheaper bearings likely to wear so quickly?
