Geebus. I came to ask some dumb questions but my brain has just emptied. Must... stop... looking....
Ack, I'm back. Now where was we. Oh my bike.
Got it serviced at the shop before the Alpine. Done 200km since then. Now I find the steering is binding up when you turn it very far off center. The thing is only 15 months old so the bearings can't be worn out. You think they might have done something at the shop?
Secondly, when I pedal the thing makes a clackety clackety sound, like tiny maraccas. Doesn;t mappen when I coast. Happens in all gears and either sitting or standing, although I do notice it most going slow up hills, I guess because there's less wind noise. It's not the gears cause I've had a play. Thought it might be the bottom bracket or cranks but there doesn't seem to be any play down there and it's still spinning smooth.
So any of you mechanics have a clue what's going on? Wouldn't mind some some angles to go to the bike shop with when I accuse them of farking my bike and making them fix it for free.
