Took the hybrid out yesterday and thought I felt a slight pull in the crank as I rode in a lower gear. Put the bike on my stand and had no issue at all until again I shifted down to the large rear gears and then I could feel the slight pull or tug in the peddle. Looked at the rear D, the BB, the peddles and found nothing obvious. Got out the metal rule and measured the chain and it was a good 1/16 plus long. Can anyone direct me to a good, not break the bank good, 9 speed chain to replace this one with? I do not believe the cogs or chainset are damaged but I will try the chain first to see if that is hopefully the only issue I have.
