Anatomy and riding position making slipping forwards on saddles with kicked up tails normal for some people. Tipping the nose up makes soft tissue discomfort and damage more likely.

I ride a Specialized Toupe which is almost flat because of that.

Measure your sit bone width sitting on something soft which will indent for a while like a memory foam cushion or corrugated cardboard. Use the conversion chart with Specialized saddles and add 2 cm for others.

Specialized has a pad for this and tool to measure the distance between indents.
