Specialized Power Expert Saddle
I recently purchased the Specialized Power Expert saddle and find myself feeling like im slipping forward on the saddle. I bought the 155mm. Im wondering if its too wide and that is causing me to inch forward while spinning. Has anyone else had a similar experience with this saddle? Im wondering if i should exchange it for the 143mm or if maybe the saddle is just a poor design for me overall

General to all saddles, Bene Sugg :
# 1) Keep it level or slightly nose up, not sloped down.
I won't be sitting on your saddle with my hips, for you , so, naturally, I cannot judge, remotely .
(No one in the county sells specialized brand bikes)

I find this to be my perfect saddle. I have them on 3 of my 4 bikes. I set them up perfectly flat using a level. This will make it look like it is slightly nose up. Depending on what shorts you are wearing, they can be slick when new.

I ride a Specialized Toupe which is almost flat because of that.
Measure your sit bone width sitting on something soft which will indent for a while like a memory foam cushion or corrugated cardboard. Use the conversion chart with Specialized saddles and add 2 cm for others.
Specialized has a pad for this and tool to measure the distance between indents.

Does your shop have a Digital Sitbone Device (DSD) if they have a fitter or the Retül machine they should be able to take a look at it for your and confirm what size you might need. You might also adjust the saddle a bit as people have suggested.

I was professionally fit on a Specialized Power saddle. Specialized recommends that you level the first 2/3 of the saddle. This will kick up the tail for you to push against when you are climbing.
