Bikes: 2 many

Spray furniture polish like Pledge, is easier and faster than wiping or paste wax. You can just spray it on and wipe down the bike. There is no part of the bike that will be harmed by it. But, keep it off the saddle, it can make the saddle squeak when you pedal. It does not even hurt the brakes or tires. It makes the tires look nice but is not very slippery on rubber when dry. It's what many bike shops use and recommend due to decades of experience. Here's why...

Most wax made for cars is MUCH too abrasive for the amount of paint on a bicycle. Don't try it if you don't know how abrasive it is.

Don't use Armour all on a bike. It makes the tires and the brake pads slippery and stays around for a while. It's dangerous. It can permanently ruin a saddle too.

Chrome polish can take the paint off of a bike too. Very little chrome on a modern bike.

1) do no harm

2) have a clean bike.

The Pledge keeps the bike a little cleaner a little longer.
