5 or 6 pounds is typical for me on a hot ride of 5+ hours. The time I came home 11 pounds lighter I really felt bad. I start off around 200 these days.
It's not just sweat, we lose water through breathing, too.
I was out in Calabassas last Saturday, and the heat chewed me up pretty good. I dunno if it is the long course in antibiotics, a lot of time of the bike, or just getting old, but that heat gets to me a lot worse than it used to. I was done after only 30 miles or so, and GLAD to be done and in an air conditioned car.
