no real arse kicking - very average time
winner of the Fling was just under 4 hours - me 6 hours, last person in about 8 ... on a moderately hilly course, only one real difficult riding section.
winner of last years Dirtworks was 4:45 >>> means course is harder, tougher rockier sections etc... makes for slower going in those areas. But that's why we do it, fire trails can get pretty boring.
only ever done 3 long distance races.
Other one I did was in the US, 101 miles, 10 hours worth of riding when I was much fitter than I am now.
