I have a Polar 710 and it is great. The lap function is the best feature. Start the clock at the beginning of the ride. At the base of a hill you can start a "lap" time at the top of the hill, stop the "lap" time. When you get home it will give all the info for the entire ride as well as the hill climb. So you can see what speed, Ave, max, HR Ave, HR max etc for the hill or the whole ride. I find this a great way to log my progress over certain hills even though my ride may differ before or after the climb. I couldn't afford the power or cadence function. The altimeter is very good for hills riding, it is accurate also. It is an excellent HRM.
CHEERS.
