Float is a wan kerism introduced by triathletes who didn't know how to set up their cleats properly. Now just about everybody uses cleats with float 'to save their knees' when what they really need is a pair of black cleats and 30 minutes of patient (and correct) fitting.
Anyways, I have two pedal solutions for you:
No name brand pedals with plastic clips and leather toestraps - cost $0.00. Two sets of slotted cleats thrown in as well.
Or
Almost brand new look pedals (black) from my race bike, done <1000km. $160RRP, yours for $80 if you want them. Let pedal has a nice 1cm gouge where I clipped it in a race two weeks ago. Right pedal has scratches on the side from bike being blown over (twice). Nice pedals, but I'm standardising on one model (VP-R70 for those playing at home) across all my bikes. I might have a set of red cleats (float) lying around somewhere that I can throw in as well.
