I can see a return to 26” wheel mtb’s, but not with old bikes or geometry. It probably won’t be mainstream, especially with old people; but I can see kids riding 15+ lb carbon hardtails that can be easily thrown around.

There is something about youth’s disdain for their elders; especially on what can’t be done.
