FWIW, here is my M737 in small/small; your chain looks long but its hard to see; a pic of big ring/big cog should be clearer.
Yeah that's definitely what the chain is supposed to look like.
It took me a minute but I figured out why my RD looks different, it's because it has an XTR GS cage installed on it. It's not a short cage though. It has "Max 32T, Total 33T" printed on it.
