Your Nishiki was manufactured in 1985 for the USA market by a Japanese company named Kawamura. However, it is a 1986 model manufactured in late 1985. The model is an International LD, with the LD standing for Large Diameter (tubing). The tubes are joined to internal lugs using both internal brazing and external heliarc welding for extra strength. Tange
#1 is a quite light and well respected tubeset. with the slightly larger diameter increasing the stiffness.
Components are primarily SunTour, with Sprint model derailleurs and Cyclone model crankset and brakes. The wheels are 700C Araya 20A rims laced to Sanshin hubs. The saddle is a replacement but the rest of the bicycle appears original. This is a nice mid-range model with an original MSRP of $500 US.
Value, in good, ready to ride condition would be $200-$250 in most markets. While the cosmetic condition appears good, generally bicycles of this age need an overhaul and replacement of some, if not all consumables (tyres, brake pads, cables, bar tape, chain, freewheel). That alone could reduce the value to around $125-$150. A picture of the drivetrain would give us a better idea of the condition and value. What specific repairs does it require?
