I've been riding my 97 GT Timberline Mountain Bike as my commuter for about 8 months now, and the winter had been rough on it. After a deep cleaning this weekend, I decided to convert it to singlespeed (42x18 right now), give it a complete brake job, and remove all frame stickers. I'm thrilled with the results.

Commuting Equipment of Note: Arkel Bug Panier/Backpack, Cateye TLD-1000 taillight, and Schwalbe Marathon tires (heavy, but bombproof). The WTB saddle is super comfortable too.
