The Continentals are really nice and the Nashbar tires mention above are good. The Walmart tires work too. I have tried all of them.

You will notice a difference between tires. You mentioned that your tires tend to wear fast. As a general rule, the better road grip you have, the faster the tire wears. It is still a compromise.
