French, nah, different energy systmes. Chances of being an elite professional in both disciplines is very slim. Though, I wonder about Renshaw and Boonen. Renshaw rode a 1"01 I think in the kilo, and Boonen was a national champ in the kilo in juniors.
See McGrory, could not compete on the road sprints, and Kersten this year after chaning his program a little struggled to even take out sprints in the Tour of the Murray Region. He lost a crit or a short ish 60km stage to Matt Goss or MAtt Rex. One of the MAtts. They are quick, but imagine them in a match sprint.
So French would need to be a very talented endurance athlete also. MArty Nothstein tried to cross over, nd he struggled to contest sprints with Navigsators in the US dometic circtuir after getting down to about 80 kgs for 6 foot.
He might, but even Graeme Brown is struggling with the strength aspect, and the road sprints require a few sprints in the last 4 km to position yourself before the last 300 metres. So a 4 km pursuiter with a decent kick might be better prepared than a match sprinter with a kick of a mule.
