I met an interesting guy in Seal Beach

Saturday morning I was taking a break at the end of the SGRT in Seal Beach. This guy comes flying up, stops and starts checking his computer, watch etc. The funny thing was that he was 74 (I asked), on a really nice unmarked carbon aero bike, but the really strange thing was that he was pulling a trailer. Not a child trailer, but it looked to be made out of steel tubing and by looking at it I would have guessed the trailer alone had to weight 35 lbs. The kicker was that he had a 25 lb barbell plate strapped inside the trailer. I obviously couldn't help myself and had to ask what's up with that setup. To make a long story short he said he's training for the upcoming RAAM and is part of an 8 man team. He said this was how he liked to train. He said something about riding in a 66 - 74(?) category.

Any of you guys seen him around? You definitely couldn't miss him. The contrast between the pro setup and pulling a home-made trailer with a weight in it kind of sticks out.
