Interesting post, and the responses remind me of how much of a different place I live in. I live in Hong Kong, which as most of you know, is not a city known for it's friendliness. Was out on the side of the trail once, resting and sipping my drink, when I saw a kid (probably about 10-12 years old) on a bike fall off. Nothing too serious, but his knees were scratched up and bleeding. I offerred him a band-aid and some antiseptic wipes which I always carry. Before I could give them to him, his mum pulled up behind him and told me to "go away". I think she must've thought I was gonna abduct her son or something. So in short, I guess my answer is "never again".
