The way I understand it, Epididymitis is the inflammation of the Epididymis. I had a case of it last year, sucks. My balls didn't swell up, but there was a lot of pain, and an infection. It was caused, primarily, by trauma to the epididymis. The big problem was the saddle I was using at the time, it was too soft, too much padding. When I got aero on the bike, the padding pushed up into the epididymis and cut off the circulation. That's a bad thing. It's cleared up now for the most part, but it's one of those things that I will feel occasionally for a long time. I tell everyone now to think twice before they buy a nice cushy saddle. Epididymitis is pretty much the blanket term that most general physicians seem to use for all kinds of complications that arise from bicycle/saddle problems. It sounds like the infection has spread to your testicle. That's gotta hurt. Are you getting an ultra sound? Might want to bring it up. I wouldn't get back on the bike until the infection has passed through. Hate to say it, but it might take more than a couple of weeks. Antibiotics should help.
