About 3 - 4 years ago, I missed out big time when I was offered a buy it price for a very similar SC (same color and everything.) from a seller in Eureka CA.
He offered it to me at almost the same price + shipping, if I decided not to drive up there from the bay area to pick it up.
I felt it was very fair price,......but I just did not have the budget at that time to buy it, so I had to let it go to the second dibs buyer.
I was very glad though that the second dibs buyer was one of our prolific C&V forum member who greatly deserves it!
So, I think that SC's current asking price is quite fair.
