Interesting thread, because I was just looking to see if I could find Will.

I live near Phoenix, and for years we had a great wheel builder named Will Snyder, who owned a small shop called Proformance Wheels. Will always put those stickers on the wheels.

I have four sets of wheels he either built or adjusted for me. The set he built for me are some really nice Mavic rims with Dura Ace hubs that I used with my Dura Ace groupo equipped Cannondale road bike. I put a lot of long miles on those wheels, and didn't treat them delicately, jumping over cattle guards and junk in the road, and they've never needed to be adjusted. The other wheels were ones that came with the bikes and after he got done adjusting and tweaking, they've stayed true.

His shop was always busy, semi-pro and pro riders were often there hanging out to talk. He was very involved in the mountain-biking world here in Phoenix but I think had stopped riding competitively. I haven't seen him in years and years, and miss him.
