1986 Miyata 310, $25. I mostly bought it for the frame, but a surprising amount of the bike is original. The stem, bars, seat post, and saddle are crappy aftermarket stuff, not worth keeping. The fork isn't original, but seems serviceable. The wheels are in surprisingly good shape, though the sealed bearings are kind of crunchy...never tried to maintain sealed bearings, so that's going to be a learning experience. Another complication is the Uniglide freehub. I'd
like to get a hold of an original Miyata fork, but I don't know where I'd even find something like that these days.
The thing has obviously sat outside for a very long time. The "silver" handlebars were originally black, as could be seen when I unclamped the brake lever and the stem..the black anodization had weathered off. The tires are also completely rotten, but that's not a concern.
From what I can see of the inside of the frame, there's superficial surface rust, but nothing structurally concerning. It'll get an oxalic bath and then Framesaver.
